itinerary

The trip begins in the vibrant city of Huaraz, where you'll embark on a vehicle tour along the interoceanic highway, admiring unique landscapes. Upon reaching Pitec, at 3,850 meters above sea level, begin a hike of approximately 10.5 km to reach Laguna Shallap, at 4,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, you'll be amazed by the diversity of flora and fauna, and panoramas that look like something out of a postcard. Upon entering the Shallap Gorge, the majestic snow-capped mountains will offer unforgettable views.

The lagoon:

Shallap, with its crystal-clear, deep blue waters, awaits you in a setting of peace and indescribable beauty. This body of water, in addition to being a visual spectacle, is part of the Pacific basin and feeds the Santa River. Its incredible depth of 37 meters and its serenity make this place an ideal destination for those seeking a unique experience.
