We'll begin our day with a delicious breakfast before departing from Huaraz. In just 30 minutes, we'll arrive at the charming town of Jancu, located at 3,990 meters above sea level. This point will be our gateway to a majestic landscape, surrounded by ravines and mountains that will leave you breathless.

From Jancu, we begin a unique trek. Our path crosses a plain that gradually transforms into a sweeping climb, leading us to a spectacular gorge. Each step takes us into a magical world, where impressive rock formations guide us to the jewel of this journey: Laguna Azulcocha, a hidden paradise beneath the imposing gaze of Mount Huamashraju (5,434 m). The 4- to 5-hour hike rewards us with a dreamlike landscape. The lagoon, with its waters varying between light and dark hues, offers a unique view of the surrounding mountains. It is a place as impressive as it is little explored, perfect for those seeking to connect with nature at its best.

After a relaxing break and a hearty meal, we'll head back along the same trail to reach Jancu again, and then return to Huaraz in the afternoon.
